Under 8 Mosquitos v Stockton town reds
The game started off and the Mossies held their own were pressing hard from the front with Toby and Blaize leading the pressing, Archie and Theo were proving a tough nut to crack in the back and Nelly in goals. After a while we saw Theo come off for Josh and Blaize for Roman.
The Mossies made a sharp sting in the Stockton goal, with some great work coming from Archie down the left sliding the ball to Roman who had a shot well saved fall to an on rushing Blaize to smash in from the edge of the box. The Mossies gave it their all in the 1st half.
2nd half saw Roman get the gloves on and the team shape up with Roman in goal, Archie and Theo back in defence, Toby and Blaize back upfront. The team never stopped trying and pressing which is huge confidence for the coaches. After 10 minutes Blaize and Toby came off for Archie and Theo to go upfront and Nelly and Josh to go in defence. Stockton piled on the pressure and some great resilience by the whole team kept them off bay but then some great tackling and defending by Nelly and Josh kept the scoreline as low as possible!
POTM- Blaize who never stopped running and was a constant menace all game! 💪
POTM- Nelly who never put a foot wrong all game and made some huge crunching tackles when in defence! ⚽️
U8 spitfires v Hardwick FC
A great match today against a side at a similar level to us who we’ve played a few times over the summer. The lads played really well
The boys looked strong and together as a team. When they pushed up and pressured the opposition they looked dangerous.
[C] shout to our captain Ernst who impressed with some good tackles and always moved the ball forward.
🏆 Well done Aidie for parents POTM. Moved well on the ball and is playing with more confidence. That run up the wing and assist in the dev game 👌
🏆well done Harrison for coaches POTM. Great in goal and always in the right position upfront, worked hard to win the ball high up the pitch and pressured their defence and goalie. A constant threat.

A brilliant performance from the lads today! 👏
The boys played some really good football, worked hard for each other and showed great teamwork from start to finish. Everyone put a shift in, battled for every ball and played their part.
Really pleasing to see the lads continuing to grow as a team and supporting each other throughout the game. Plenty of positives to take from today and a performance everyone can be proud of! 💪⚽️
A massive well done to every single one of the lads — the effort, attitude and togetherness they showed today was fantastic. Keep working hard, keep believing in each other and keep pushing forward! 🔥

A brilliant performance from Shaun today on the wing! 👏 He worked tirelessly, caused problems throughout the game and finished with two great assists. ⚽️🙌

Another top performance from Mason in goal today! 👏 He made some fantastic saves when called upon and showed great confidence and composure between the sticks.
Trip down to coach Liam's old stomping ground for the u10 Spitfires today. Away at Northallerton.
First half was very tight in what was a physical battle between the two teams.
At the start of the second half the Sptifires got their passing game going and took control of the match, creating opportunities, taking their chances and keeping Northallerton penned in their own half.
Credit to Northallerton for then making things difficult for the Spitfires towards the end, with some lovely individual runs.
Good battle between two well matched teams. Entertaining stuff!

A very competitive game of football from both teams giving parents and coaches real entertainment 👏 ⚽️
This weeks aim was to encourage everyone to play as a team and pass the ball around all areas of the pitch. The lads looked confident on the ball and resilient when defending putting in some excellent challenges! 💪

Middleton Rangers U9’s vs Marton Blues
Middleton served up a rollercoaster for the home support and coaches today in what was a very entertaining end to end match that could have gone either way.
The boys adapted well to the new formation and started quickly but as the game progressed, Marton looked more dangerous.
Whilst there remains plenty for the boys to work on there were signs of progress today. Well done, boys. 👏🏻

MRFC U10 Hurricanes vs Riverside Junior Girls U10
Very impressive performance from the Hurricanes all round today against a good footballing team.
The boys played with a high level of intensity throughout, pressing the ball well and making it difficult for the opponents to play out.
Some good team moves and finishing led to plenty of goals. Well done boys, keep up the good work!

Strong defensive performance from Josh, winning his duels and playing really well with Theo at the back.
Josh's distribution from the back gave the team a strong attacking platform and is an area he's really developed in over the past few weeks. Well done Josh.

Controlled the game in the middle today, winning tackles all over the pitch and capping it off with three goals.
Under 8 Mosquitoes v Grangetown boys Club
The game kicked off with the mosquitos transforming to a 2-2 formation, with Nelly in goal, Archie and Theo in defence and Toby upfront with Blaize. It started with us getting into a physical match with Grangetown with our hosts just slightly edging it.
However, they found it hard to beat our defence with Archie and Theo playing in fine form. That being said they made the break through with a well taken goal which snuck in past Nelly.
However, this didn't deter the mossies who roared straight back with a brilliant ball into the box fired over by Archie and Toby like all good strikers do found himself on the end of it with the ball just to loop in.
We were back in the fight and another goal soon came! We won a corner from the right side, Roman took the cross looking for Toby but it was well cleared, the ball just fell on half way for Archie to run onto and strike the ball into the top left corner, what a strike!
Half time came and Roman went in goal Josh and Jack stayed in defence with Theo and Toby playing upfront. The game was end to end in the 2nd half with out hosts getting another 3 goals but we weren't done as Archie came on to take a corner which he scored directly from.

MRFC U10 Hurricanes vs Darlington Young Bulls.
Another strong performance from the Hurricanes today.
The lads matched the physicality of a strong opponent, which let their quality on the ball do the rest.
Solid in defence once again. In attack, they always looked a threat with fast counters and an onslaught of dangerous balls into the box.

Covered in goal today and made some big saves in the first half. Looked assured throughout in greasy conditions.

Brought his usual tenacity and drive to the game alongside some real quality for his goal. Get in Clarke!
Middleton Rangers U12s v Wynyard Village
A strong performance all round today with the midfield strong in getting forward and back to support the attacks and defence. Very good flowing football between the players down the wings that created our first goal.
Wynyard got back in the game with a penalty but our lads got their heads back up and continued the pressure. A free kick by Harrison that hit the bar and went over the line and bounced back was not given but Shaun C floated in a cross that ended up in the net. Jacob S putting in a sterling performance up front giving their defenders all sorts of problems with his football IQ and strength. Mason commanding his box and making some crucial saves as well.

A really good performance from the lads this week as we moved the ball well and showed what a good passing team we are.
Some good strikes from Fraser, Arthur and William with some own goals from good pressure from Tommy. Showed all the hard work we have put in training having an effect in games.

Great match today against a tough opposition with a lot of shooting power. All the lads put a shift in and followed the game plan with good positioning and passing to create some good chances. Proud of them all.
[C] Shout out to our Captain this week, Ted, who did everything he was told and then some. Strong in defence, got his head up to look for the pass and kept the lads organised at the back telling them to get in position and mark up. 💪
🏆 Well done Ayan for Parents POTM. Great first half in defence with some important tackles and getting the ball forward. Pulled off some amazing saves including a double save in the second half.
🏆Well done Oscar for coaches player of the match. Huge effort from start to finish. Held his attacking position well and bagged two goals for his efforts. Great performance in goal for the dev game aswell.

Middleton were eager to get back to winning ways against Darlington young bulls and gave the hosts no time to settle on the ball.
It was all one way traffic at the outset and Middleton was cruising, but as the half progressed mistakes started to creep in.
The second half was a completely different game with Middleton making increasingly more mistakes and DYB capitalised on this.
Middleton played some nice football in spells.

U10 Spitfires
Really good game of football all round today, both teams went about things in the right way.
We started the game really well and in the first half we had a boat load of chances but just couldn’t find the net!
As I keep saying it’s good that we are making chances I’d be concerned if we didn’t, would be nice to score a few of them though 😂
Second half we finally found the net with a great move being pulled back by Louis for Sam to tap home, looked simple in the end! 😂
Both sides pushed on right until the end, a very entertaining game that just missed a few more goals.
