About Our Club
Middleton Rangers Football Club delivers inclusive football in Darlington for all ages and abilities. We are an FA Charter Standard Community Club.
Through FA guideline coaching, various players have developed and gone on to have trials or play within academies including, Newcastle, Sunderland, Middlesbrough, Leeds, Hartlepool, Darlington and York.

Middleton Rangers is more than a football club, it’s part of the Middleton St George community in Darlington, helping young players learn, play, and belong.

Under 8 Mosquitoes v Grangetown boys Club
The game kicked off with the mosquitos transforming to a 2-2 formation, with Nelly in goal, Archie and Theo in defence and Toby upfront with Blaize. It started with us getting into a physical match with Grangetown with our hosts just slightly edging it.
However, they found it hard to beat our defence with Archie and Theo playing in fine form. That being said they made the break through with a well taken goal which snuck in past Nelly.
However, this didn't deter the mossies who roared straight back with a brilliant ball into the box fired over by Archie and Toby like all good strikers do found himself on the end of it with the ball just to loop in.
We were back in the fight and another goal soon came! We won a corner from the right side, Roman took the cross looking for Toby but it was well cleared, the ball just fell on half way for Archie to run onto and strike the ball into the top left corner, what a strike!
Half time came and Roman went in goal Josh and Jack stayed in defence with Theo and Toby playing upfront. The game was end to end in the 2nd half with out hosts getting another 3 goals but we weren't done as Archie came on to take a corner which he scored directly from.

MRFC U10 Hurricanes vs Darlington Young Bulls.
Another strong performance from the Hurricanes today.
The lads matched the physicality of a strong opponent, which let their quality on the ball do the rest.
Solid in defence once again. In attack, they always looked a threat with fast counters and an onslaught of dangerous balls into the box.

Covered in goal today and made some big saves in the first half. Looked assured throughout in greasy conditions.

Clarke is parents' player for the second week in a row and once again well deserved.
Brought his usual tenacity and drive to the game alongside some real quality for his goal. Get in Clarke!
Middleton Rangers U12s v Wynyard Village
A strong performance all round today with the midfield strong in getting forward and back to support the attacks and defence. Very good flowing football between the players down the wings that created our first goal.
Wynyard got back in the game with a penalty but our lads got their heads back up and continued the pressure. A free kick by Harrison that hit the bar and went over the line and bounced back was not given but Shaun C floated in a cross that ended up in the net. Jacob S putting in a sterling performance up front giving their defenders all sorts of problems with his football IQ and strength. Mason commanding his box and making some crucial saves as well.

Middleton Rangers U11’s
A really good performance from the lads this week as we moved the ball well and showed what a good passing team we are.
Some good strikes from Fraser, Arthur and William with some own goals from good pressure from Tommy. Showed all the hard work we have put in training having an effect in games.

U8 Spitfires
Great match today against a tough opposition with a lot of shooting power. All the lads put a shift in and followed the game plan with good positioning and passing to create some good chances. Proud of them all.
[C] Shout out to our Captain this week, Ted, who did everything he was told and then some. Strong in defence, got his head up to look for the pass and kept the lads organised at the back telling them to get in position and mark up. 💪
🏆 Well done Ayan for Parents POTM. Great first half in defence with some important tackles and getting the ball forward. Pulled off some amazing saves including a double save in the second half.
🏆Well done Oscar for coaches player of the match. Huge effort from start to finish. Held his attacking position well and bagged two goals for his efforts. Great performance in goal for the dev game aswell.

Middleton were eager to get back to winning ways against Darlington young bulls and gave the hosts no time to settle on the ball.
It was all one way traffic at the outset and Middleton was cruising, but as the half progressed mistakes started to creep in.
The second half was a completely different game with Middleton making increasingly more mistakes and DYB capitalised on this.
Middleton played some nice football in spells.
