About Our Club
Middleton Rangers Football Club delivers inclusive football in Darlington for all ages and abilities. We are an FA Charter Standard Community Club.
Through FA guideline coaching, various players have developed and gone on to have trials or play within academies including, Newcastle, Sunderland, Middlesbrough, Leeds, Hartlepool, Darlington and York.

U12 hurricanes vs Nunthorpe ⚽️
From the first whistle, the boys showed plenty of effort, determination and good football. We created chances, competed for every ball and had spells where we were firmly in control of the game. Unfortunately, a few moments went against us and the opposition were able to take their chances when they came.
Despite the scoreline, there were plenty of positives to take from the performance. The boys kept battling right until the final whistle and never let their heads drop. On another day, with a bit more luck in front of goal, the result could have been very different.
The result isn’t a true reflection of the game, but the attitude, effort and football on show give us plenty to build on. We dust ourselves down, learn from it and go again. 🟧⚽️

A brilliant performance from Owen today in left midfield. He worked tirelessly throughout, showed great energy and was always willing to get involved and help the team. A well-deserved award. 👏

A fantastic performance from Freddie C on the right side of midfield. He caused problems throughout the game with his work rate, movement and determination, earning recognition from the opposition coaches. ⚽️👏
U8 Spitfires vs Hartlepool Barca
Tough game today against a good team. We’ll take the positives and go again next week. The lads all showed a brilliant attitude till the end.

MRFC U10 Hurricanes vs Cargo Fleet Juniors U10s
Competitive game today for the under 10 Hurricanes. The lads didn't quite match the energy and intensity of the last two weeks, but still created plenty of chances and were in control at the back for most of the game.

Adapting well to a new centre mid role in the opening few games. Took his goal well, created another and did a good job of breaking up play in the middle.

Brought his usual energy to the game. Surging runs down the wing, tracking back to win the ball and unlucky not to score.

Tough game for the U10s Spitfires this week away at Redcar, straight off the back of their senior team hosting Darlington in the FA cup yesterday.
A physical battle against two well matched teams. Credit to Redcar as they played with resilience and made it very difficult for the Spitfires to play their usual passing game.
Great effort by all and on to the next one. Well done Redcar for the performance today, they had the upper hand in the windy conditions.

Middleton Rangers U9’s v - Riverside Juniors United U9’s
Middleton hosted Riverside Juniors United hoping to bounce back from two tough games in a row.
After a slow start Middleton galvanised and played some nice football, in what became an end to end game.
There second half saw some nice passages of play and Middleton’s persistence paid off with some nicely taken goals, with both team’s goalkeepers having a busy half.
Despite this being another tough game, there was plenty of things for the boys to learn from, as well as some great signs of improvement.
